There are three simple ways to work with us:

  • Commission StoryArcs to produce an impact story - led by Professor Bambo Soyinka and the StoryArcs team. We create story-led outputs across media (film, writing, audio, visuals, and more), helping complex research and ideas connect with real audiences.
  • Commission an Associate Story Fellow - we work with you to shape a clear brief, then identify and support an Associate Story Fellow to embed in your organisation for a focused, story-led project addressing a defined challenge or area of need.
  • Commission a Narrative Strategy Partnership - for organisations facing complex, long-term challenges, StoryArcs can work with you over time to develop narrative-based strategies and interventions. We map the existing Story landscape, identify what needs to shift, and design a sequence of Story actions (outputs, engagements, internal practices, and public-facing work) that build momentum. Individual films, publications or campaigns can sit inside this wider arc.

Below are two recent commissions that show what this can look like in practice:

Professor Bambo Soyinka

Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)

To mark its 60th anniversary, NERC commissioned StoryArcs Director, Professor Bambo Soyinka, to create Mycelium Code - a poetic micro-form drama and audiovisual recording exploring ecological crisis and climate futures through a ‘call and response’. The work invites writers to contribute responses, forming an anthology that fosters dialogue, resilience, and recovery.

Merging Story and Research Impact

StoryArcs with Dr Gary Hayes

Economics of Biodiversity

StoryArcs developed and produced a short film telling the stories of seven Economics of Biodiversity projects, highlighting how nature and biodiversity can be integrated into economic models and decision-making. Presented to 200+ delegates at the Royal Geographical Society’s International Conference, it forms one moment in StoryArcs’ longer-term narrative-change approach overall.
